How to Transfer Your Bread Financial Accounts Into Your Trust

If you have eligible Bread Financial savings or certificate of deposit (CD) accounts, you may be able to transfer ownership to your trust by updating the account registration. Follow the steps below to begin the process.

1. Contact Bread Financial

  • Contact Bread Financial Customer Care.

  • Let them know you would like to transfer your eligible savings or CD account into your trust.

  • Ask what forms and documentation are required to complete the ownership change.

2. Gather Your Trust Documents

  • Have a copy of your Certification of Trust or Trust Certification available.

  • If requested, provide a complete copy of your trust agreement.

  • Have a valid government-issued photo ID available for all trustees who are required to sign.

3. Complete the Required Forms

  • Fill out the account ownership or trust registration forms provided by Bread Financial.

  • Carefully review all information before submitting.

  • If your trust has multiple trustees, all required trustees may need to sign.

4. Submit Your Documents

  • Return the completed forms and supporting documentation according to Bread Financial's instructions.
